Betta foods?

The food that you buy should be specifically formulated for bettas. Tropical flakes will not give them the proper nutrition. These come in both flakes and pellets. Unlike what other people have said, most bettas DO like flakes. Mine actually prefer the flakes. Wardley's is a great brand and can be found at most pet stores. Most bettas also enjoy bloodworms (can be bought live, frozen, or freeze-dried), but ONLY feed this as a treat. Be sure not to overfeed your fish. Bettas only need a small pinch of flakes or 2 to 3 pellets every other day. A mixture of the two will give your betta a more nutritionally complete diet.
