If an Exam is worth 20% would it effect your mark by alot?

becausse in geoagraphy i was getting a 73 then i got a 94 on my CPT and taht was worth 10 percent of my grade but it only went up to a 75%. so would by 20% worth exam effect my mark by alot depending on what i got??
