Green card removal of conditions?

I filed my removal of conditions application (I-751) on time (90 days before Green Card expiration) and received the I-797 notice that extends my residency up to one year. I also received my Biometrics appointment notice later soon after that. However, I have had to move from the East Coast to California for a job and have filed an AR-11 form for change of address. This has forced me to reschedule my biometrics appointment. Because of these changes, as a worst case scenario, if my application is still pending by the time my I-797 expires, would I be able to get an extension so that I can continue to live and work here?
