How can I be in a movie like Slumdog Millionaire?

I desperately want to be a replica of Dev Patel. :) No, really, I love him in SKINS and SLUMDOG...I've never been so touched by a film. Anywho, I already do acting on the side; and I attend an elite High School Performing Arts school. So, question is: How can I be in a movie as such? I love foreign films, etc.
