Sleep now in the fire solo?

Im doing this song for a talent show at school. its an easy song, but i do not have a killswitch or a guitar with two volume nobs and a toggle switch. I have a jackson Dinky and a Fender strat. I heard i can get feedback from the amp and use a whammy bar and kind of mute the strings with my hand, but is there any better ways to sound like Tom Morello does without the killswitch or toggle switch? I'm a decent guitarists and can easily play it if i have the right tools.
